New Vintage Clothing shop in Miami

There is a new vintage shop in town and I was able to go check out their new location before the grand opening September 22, 2018! The pre-opening party had champagne, food, first dibs, gift bags, and raffles!

What’s the lowdown?

Looking for a new spot to find vintage / used clothing in South Florida well this place is for you! They sell their clothing by the pound! Flamingo Vintage Pound is located in South Florida near Wynwood at 719 NW 29th ST Wynwood, FL 33127 and boy do they have a wide collection. They have a mix of used clothing brands, vintage, and designer clothes. Most importantly they carry a large variety of sizes! Usually when I go into a vintage/thrift shop they cater mostly to smaller sizes.

How Does It Work

The neat concept about this store is that the clothes is sold by the pound. There is a locked in price point per weight per item. The beauty about this place is that if you want a designer brand garment they only charge you the weight and not the brand name which is a plus! For example I bought two dresses from a $12.99 rack and it weighed 1.4 lbs - my total was $19! And these two dresses were true vintage dresses - Pictures of my shopping are below.

Assortment of Clothing

So what exactly can you find at Vintage Flamingo Pound? I am sure their selection varies as the curator finds new items for the shop. When I went the had the following (and not limited to) from the 50's to the 90's:

  • Men Hawaiin Shirts/ other shirts Jackets Jeans Shorts

  • Women Blouses Fur Coats Dresses Gown (with sequins!) Jumpers

  • Accessories Hats (mostly cowboy) Handbags (70s-90s) Shoes

PINNED Thoughts

Here is the deal.....if your in the area and looking for new pieces I recommend you swing on in! They don't have a parking lot so my advise would be to park on the street in front, across or behind.

Keep an eye out for an event with PINNED South Florida at this location in the near future!
